The following are important points that you need to know after signing up for any JUMBO Academy courses:
- Please be punctual for the classes and try to arrive 15 mins before the class start.
- Participants who are late for more than 30 minutes will not be allowed to join the class and will be marked as absent for the day.
- For half-/one-day courses, absence will mean that the registered slot is forfeited with no refunds. Participants who wish to re-join the course on a different date will need to submit a new registration and pay the course fees.
- Writing materials will be provided.
- We will verify your identity on the SingPass app and use this to mark attendance. Please ensure that you have the SingPass App downloaded and logged in on your mobile phone.
Please take note for WSQ (Workforce Skills Qualifications) courses, including those leading to a Statement of Attainment (SOA), learners need to meet certain attendance requirements. Specifically, they must achieve at least 75% attendance for each module. Additionally, they need to successfully attain a ‘Competent’ grading in the final assessment to receive the SOA.
** For our WSQ Food Safety and WSQ Workplace Safety courses, attendance is mandatory at 100% as they are 1-day courses.
Once successfully registered, participants are expected to be punctual for all classes and must meet a minimum of attendance to be eligible for the assessment (see above question on minimum requirement for attendance).
If your total attendance falls below minimum requirement, you are not allowed to sit for the assessment. You will need to register and pay to retake the course and meet the attendance requirement to be eligible for the assessment.
- Special concessions:

Before the course ends, participants will be asked to sign on the assessment summary record if they agree with and accept the assessment outcome. Participants have the right to file an appeal if they disagree with the assessment decision made by the assessor.
If you disagree with the assessment outcome given to you, you are advised not to sign the assessment summary record. Instead, you should inform the assessor of your intention to appeal, and the assessor will make a note of this in the feedback section of your assessment summary record.
Appeal Procedure
- Indicate intent to appeal: Participants should inform assessor of the intention to appeal the outcome. The assessor will note this and inform the Assessment Manager about the participant’s intent to appeal.

- Review process: An Assessment Manager will manage the appeal process by gathering information from both the participant and the assessor. The findings will be deliberated and decided by an Assessment Panel comprising two assessors and the Assessment Manager.
- Results of Appeal: The participant will be notified of the appeal outcome within four weeks from the submission date of the appeal. This decision is final and further queries will not be addressed.
All documentations, findings, and results pertaining to the appeal process will be kept by JUMBO Academy for records purposes.
