Inaugural JUMBO x ITE Culinary Hackathon

8 November 2023 – Together with ITE, JUMBO hosted the first-ever Zero Waste Culinary Hackathon Competition for ITE Culinary Arts students, challenging participants to be guided by the concepts of “Reuse, Reduce, Reinvent” in food preparation and cooking.

Close to 40 students took part in the competition, showcasing exceptional contributions, creativity, and dedication to honour the theme of “zero waste”. The participants’ proactive efforts infused positive energy into the workshops and competition, enriching the students’ own learning and takeaways from this unique experience.

This inaugural Zero Waste Culinary Hackathon Competition is a prime showcase of JUMBO and ITE’s joint endeavours, and we are delighted with the success of the event.
